Pastor Myles Munroe and eight others killed in plane crash
FREEPORT,
Grand Bahama – The ministry of a prominent evangelist from the Bahamas
will continue despite the death of founder Myles Munroe in a small
airplane crash on Sunday, his close advisers said.
Munroe — a well-known pastor, motivational speaker and evangelist — was one of nine aboard the Lear 36 Executive Jet when it went down as it attempted to land in Freeport Sunday evening, officials said. All those aboard were killed.
Police and fire authorities are on scene and a full investigation is ongoing Monday. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined though there had been heavy rain across the region.
The crash occurred as Munroe and others were gathering in Grand Bahama for the 2014 Global Leadership Forum. On the Facebook page of Munroe's ministry, a message stated that the forum will go on as scheduled.
"We would like to inform you that the Global Leadership Forum will continue," read the post. "This is what Dr. Munroe would have wanted. Please keep his family and the ministry in prayers."
"It is utterly impossible to measure the magnitude of Dr. Munroe's loss to The Bahamas and to the world."
- Prime Minister Perry Christie
The plane had taken off from the Bahamian capital of Nassau and crashed while attempting to land around 5 p.m. local time in Freeport, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport and Aviation.
"The Department of Civil Aviation has been advised unofficially that the aircraft was destroyed and that there were no survivors," the ministry said.
The Bahamas Tribune newspaper reported that Munroe, a prominent Bahamian minister who organized the event, was killed along with several people in his entourage.
Chief Supt. Clarence Reckley said he could not confirm the report and that authorities were still trying to determine the identities of the victims.
Grand Bahama is about 70 miles east of Florida.
"It is utterly impossible to measure the magnitude of Dr. Munroe's loss to The Bahamas and to the world," Prime Minister Perry Christie said. "He was indisputably one of the most globally recognizable religious figures our nation has ever produced."
Munroe's wife, Ruth was also on the plane, Christie said. The names of other passengers have not yet been confirmed, but the government said they included another minister, Richard Pinder, and a child.

Suspect in attack on 2 soldiers in Quebec 'had become radicalized': PMO | CTV News
Our heart goes out to the family of the Canadian soldier who was killed in this senseless act. Also to the other soldier that was injured. We need to be praying for our military throughout Canada and the nations and intercede for them as led by Holy Spirit.
Pray that the Lord would reveal the plans of the enemy ahead of time and that further attacks will be stopped before they happen. Let us declare that no weapon formed against our military will prosper and that as a nation we will have eyes to see our need of the Lord.

Word of the Lord
Word of
the Lord
through Patricia Hamel
I am
indeed speaking to my servants the prophets for they are to come up
higher. I am calling on My servants to
lay aside all the cares of this life and come higher for I am indeed looking
for intercessors that will stand in the gap for many. I am calling you by name and in the night
hours you will answer me. There is no
more time for delay but it is time to seek Me with your whole heart. Intercessors lay aside all that is not of me,
the frivolities of daily life and seek My face for the suddenlies of daily life
will soon be upon you. What will you do
then but say, I missed God because I was too busy? I missed the Lord because I spent too much
time doing this or that! I say unto you
seek Me while I may be found! Seek me
with your whole heart.
The enemy
has sought to destroy those that have a heart for Me. He has sought to drain you of strength
through daily attacks but I say to you I am raising up a standard and the gates
of hell will no longer prevail against you because you will take the sword of
the Lord and do battle against the foe.
You will take the sword of the Lord and fight against all that is not of
Me.
There
have been times when many of mine have been ready to give up but I say to you
do not give up but stand. Stand in the
gap and be that intercessor I have called you to be. Take time and come aside with Me my
beloveds. Take time and come away with
me into the prayer chamber. I have
called you into the bridal chamber and would speak words into your heart. I would speak to you about the issues of life
that are coming against mankind and give you answers to lay before My
people. The key is will you take time
and be the intercessors I have called you to be. Will you take time to lay on your face before
me and seek me with your whole heart?
Distractions,
distractions, distractions, this is what has been coming against my servants
the prophets! They are distracted and
the enemy is no longer going to be able to defeat you as you stand
together. My body needs to stand
together and not be as lone rangers.
Come together, close ranks and seek My face. Time will soon be no more and all that seems
so important will no longer be. Seek Me
while I may be found and I will answer you.
I will show you deep and wonderful things and you will have the fear of
the Lord in your hearts.
I will place you before men, many of them are
in places of trust in this hour and need guidance. You will stand before kings and those that
are in authority and will speak the Word of the Lord and counsel men great in
this world and their hearts shall be turned and they shall hear the Word of the
Lord. Not all will come but they will
hear and either reject me of accept that which I say for I am God. There is no other beside me and it is time
that man know that I am God. I am
the Lord, stand in awe of Me for I am the Holy One and your soon coming
King. Rise up and give praise to Me for
I am holy. Praise My holy name. Indeed, I come quickly so rise up and do the
work of the evangelist and see them come in as you lay out My plan of
salvation, that I am the only way, truth and life. I am truth and life and Jesus is My
name. Come to Me and come quickly, for I
am the Lord, and behold I come quickly.
He saw
that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore
His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained
Him. Isaiah 59:16

Not Without Purpose
Not Without Purpose
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22
All that you are going through is not without purpose. The pain and suffering has a far more eternal
weight of glory. Sickness is never
easy. It can be very lonely when others
have not walked in your shoes and do not seem to understand. There is always that voice that says, you
should be healed. There is healing in
the name of Jesus and the Lord does want to heal us from sickness and disease
for it is not from the Lord. Yet, God
does allow it. God does use it for His
purposes and what the enemy means for evil the Lord turns for good in our
lifetime. Truly it would be wonderful if
all were healed.
One thinks of Joni Eareckson
and her courageous battle over many years and the awesome testimony of the
power of God in her life. She is an
example to so very many. There are
stages we go through when dealing with chronic illness and sometimes we have to
just keep believing that God is God and that His purposes are higher than ours and
at the same time, never give up hope of total healing in His way and
timing.
There are days when it seems dark, especially when one is
going through suffering in the winter months.
The only sun that is shining can be in our hearts and His name is
Jesus. For those living in the northern
hemisphere life can at times be so very difficult. The snow, freezing cold temperatures and lack
of sunshine are at times hard to bear.
Plainly many of us live here but are spring and summer people at heart.
Remember each day
brings us one day closer to spring and summer when the sun will shine a lot
longer and there will be heat and warmth again.
In the meantime let us remember that even in the winter months Jesus is
here working in your heart and life and He has not forgotten where you are
living. Take this time to seek Him in a
greater way and remember that He, Jesus is the sunshine in your life. Take time to pray, for God hears even those
simple little prayers and they do go up before the throne of heaven and reach
His ears.
Plainly God is saying, my
child do not give up for I hear you and know your heart. I have seen the disappointments of life and
you must go forward knowing you are mine.
Keep trusting in me child and see even in the deep of winter that my
heart has not taken my eye from you.
Trust that you are mine and hold on even in the storms of life. I am the anchor of your soul.. I am your rock and your salvation. Hold on to me even in the dark night hours
when lack of sleep due to pain seems unbearable. Lean on Me and allow me to hold you in My
arms. You are mine and I will never
forsake or leave you.
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon dies at 85
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon dies at 85
January 11, 2014FoxNews.com
Former Israeli prime minister and storied general Ariel Sharon, who was at the height of his power when he suffered a stroke in 2006 and fell into an irreversible coma, died Saturday at the age of 85.
Sharon died at Tel Hashomer hospital just outside Tel Aviv, where his family had gathered at his bedside over the past several days as his vital organs reportedly deteriorated. His death was first reported by Israeli Army radio.
Visiting U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry addressed Sharon’s condition ahead of a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday.
"My thoughts are with the Sharon family as they sit in vigil with the former prime minister of Israel, Arik Sharon," Kerry said, referring to Sharon by his nickname. "We remember his contributions, sacrifices he made to ensure the survival and the well-being of Israel, and I have many personal thoughts about my meetings with him on many different occasions -- always robust and strong and clear about his positions."
Sharon, an iconic figure who fought in three wars before entering politics, was elected prime minister in 2001. He suffered a stroke in January 2006, at the height of his political power, and remained comatose since then.
However, in 2011 his son Gilad told the New York Times his father could move his fingers when he asked him to, adding, "I am sure he hears me."
In the months leading up to his stroke, longtime hardliner Sharon had shocked his political base by expelling Jewish settlers from 21 Gaza settlements and from four on the West Bank
He also resigned as head of the Likud party and formed a new centrist party called Kadima ("Forward").
Sharon's longtime rival and current prime minister, Netanyahu, was elected his replacement as head of Likud.
Sharon suffered a mild stroke in December 2005 and was released from the hospital after two days. A little more than two weeks later he suffered a massive intra cerebral hemorrhage from which he never recovered.
Sharon's deputy, Ehud Olmert, was elected prime minister two months later.
Sharon was born February 26, 1928 in the then British Mandate of Palestine to a family of Lithuanian Jews. By the age of 10 he had entered the Zionist youth movement Hassadeh and later the Haganah, the military precursor to the Israel Defense Forces.
His military career flourished as he became a commander in the Israeli army, celebrated as a military strategist.
He was an instrumental figure in the 1956 Suez War, the Six Day War of 1967, the Yom Kippur War of 1973 and as Minister of Defense directed the 1982 Lebanon War.
Sharon joined the Likud party after retiring from the military, serving in a number of ministerial posts and then as party leader in 2000 before becoming prime minister from 2001-2006.
Widowed twice, he is survived by his sons Gilad and Omri.
